A&C Item # 15 – 4/10/03 Calendar

This item is a Change Order to Contract No. 98-508 – Removal and Replacement of Storage Tanks, Phase VII – Various Locations.

The original contract was awarded back in 1998 in the amount of $1,477,950 and called for the removal and replacement of 27 underground fuel storage tanks and any contaminated soil in its surroundings.  In February 2001 the first change order was approved in the amount of $498,549.82 for unanticipated site conditions at the Airport.

This second Change Order is again for unanticipated site conditions due to the discovery of additional tanks that were found at the Bronx River Parkway north-bound gas station near Leewood Drive.  These tanks were not registered, nor did they show on any plans or maps for that location.
