The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m.

 

A&C Item #3 – 9/12/02 Calendar

Ø    DPW – Contract 01-551 for Performance Maintenance, Phase II, Port Chester Wastewater Treatment Plant, Port Chester. Award to the low bidders: 

A.   Contract 01-551-GC for General Construction Work to Halcyon Construction Corp., Pleasantville, in the amount of $1,573,423.

B.   Contract 01-551-E for Electrical Work to Eastern Electrical contracting Corp., White Plains, in the amount of $598,765.

C.   Contract 01-551-HV for Heating and Ventilating Work to D.P. Wolff, Inc., Hawthorne, in the amount of $205,866.

D.   Contract 01-551-P for Plumbing Work to Southeast Mechanical Corp., Brewster, in the amount of $392,000.

 

At the request of Legislator Rogowsky, Michael Martirano and Tom Lauro from DPW were present to discuss the above item.  There was a lengthy discussion.  These contracts are for equipment upgrades and performance maintenance.  All sewage treatments plants have to meet federal and state mandated standards.  At Legislator Rogowsky’s request, DPW will provide with various documents and reports, including the Black & Veatch Report, detailing the dollar to dollar spending that has taken place at the Port Chester Wastewater Treatment Plant over the past 20+ years.  This will take several weeks. 

 

ITEM # 33 – Sewer District Modification

Item # 33 is a request from the Town of Cortlandt to return a parcel, Linda & Dominick Cortese and Cattano Agata, 8 Laurie Rd., Cortlandt Manor, NY back into the Peekskill Sanitary Sewer District.

 

Legislator Wishnie made a motion to approve and forward Item #33 to the County Executive and other appropriate departments for further review and it was seconded by Legislator Rogowsky.  The vote was 4-0.

ITEM # 35 – Sewer District Modification Act

Item # 35 is a proposed Act to modify the Ossining Sanitary Sewer District by the addition of fourteen (14) parcels of property located in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.

 

Legislator Wishnie made a motion to approve the Act and it was seconded by Legislator Rogowsky.  The vote was 4-0.  As per Legislator Wishnie, this item will be taken up on the next B&A meeting.

 

ITEM # 36 – Sewer District Modification Act

Item # 36 is a proposed Act to modify the Ossining Sanitary Sewer District by the removal of one hundred seventeen (117) parcels of property located in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.

 

Legislator Wishnie made a motion to approve the Act and it was seconded by Legislator Rogowsky.  The vote was 4-0.  As per Legislator Wishnie, this item will be taken up on the next B&A meeting.

 

On motion of Legislator Wishnie, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky the meeting was adjourned at 4:58 p.m.
