It was discussed that there is no opposition to the Lakeside Bridge.  However, we have a problem with Dean’s Bridge.  The two neighboring supervisors disagree on this issue.  Chairman Maisano will contact Legislator LaMotte since the bridge is in her district.

It was reported that at a community meeting with Eastchester, it was agreed to keep the Leewood tunnel open for northbound traffic during the construction period.  During the first phase, a traffic study will be conducted to determine the impact of keeping the tunnel open for northbound traffic. If a problem arises, then the solution might be to close the tunnel for the remaining two phases.  Southbound there is no problem.  According to Legislator Carsky, the original plan was to bag the signal and close the tunnel.

Chairman Maisano raised the question concerning the corner of Huguenot and North Avenue in New Rochelle.  Apparently, a bus stop was changed, which altered the loading zone and some of the businesses are complaining.  It was then explained that DOT runs the buses.  DOT would normally make a request to change the bus line and would discuss it with local government.  Mr. Hsu will look into this matter for the committee.

Minutes of February 27th were read and unanimously approved

On motions of Pinto and Ryan, the meeting was adjourned at 5:18 p.m.
