Legislator Maisano called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
Legislator Maisano requested Mr. Joseph Murphy to give a presentation on the Air Flow System –odor control that will be very helpful to the County Department of Environmental Facilities.
Mr. Murphy explained the product “Bad Air Sponge,” which is a pure odor neutralizer that is both biodegradable and USDA certified. This product neutralizes odors generated by fire and tobacco smoke, mold and mildew, carpets, rugs, bedspreads, water-damaged building and many other materials. He further stated that this product is being used in the Kings County sewage treatment plants with great success. The product lasts between 30 to 150 days depending on the intensity of the odor problem and the length of exposure of the product before the odors are neutralized. Mr. Murphy demonstrated usage of the product and gave each member a sample.
After much discussion, Legislator Carsky moved, seconded by Legislator Noto and agreed by all to refer this matter to the Administration to have further discussions with Mr. Murphy to possibly have his product utilized in our County’s sewage treatment facilities.
Legislator Noto moved, seconded by Legislator Pinto and agreed by all to refer the following items to the Administration for further action.
Item # 20 – Hon. Richard Wishnie: Removal of Properties from
0ssinging and Yonkers Sanitary Sewer District.

Legistator Pinto moved, seconded by Legislator Carsky and agreed by all to Receive and File, Item # 27- Snow and Ice Control on County Roads.
Legislator Carsky will draft a memo inviting legislators to go to Echo Bay to view the outflow of the collection of debris into the Bay.
Legislator Noto made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Legislator Pinto. All in favor 5-0.
