Legislator Maisano called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m.

 

Legislator Maisano requested Commissioner Landi  update the members on the Sewer Discharge Permit. 

 

Commissioner Landi stated that this Act would authorize the County of Westchester, on behalf of the Blind Brook Sanitary Sewer District, to assign the agreement with the Greenwich Woods Health Care Center Corporation to Greenwich Woods Limited Partnership.  This is an action determined to have no significant effect on the environment.

 

After discussion, Legislator Noto moved to sign out the Act. Seconded by Legislator Carsky.  All in favor 4-0.

 

Legislator Maisano requested Legislator Carsky to update the members on the Bronx River Parkway Repaving Program.

 

Legislator Carsky stated that her concern is that we do not have a comprehensive  plan for the Bronx River Parkway and its reservation.     Legislator Carsky stated that she would like to see a comprehensive plan before any further work is done.  A study is currently being done by the County and she would like to review it as soon as possible.

Commissioner Landi  stated that the project provides for the repaving of the Bronx River Parkway from Scarsdale Road in Tuckahoe to Harney Road in Eastchester, along with drainage improvements and associated site work.    He also stated that there is cooperation with the Parks and Planning Departments along with the Administration and the Board of Legislators.

 

After extensive discussion, it was agreed that Commissioner Landi would be available to meet with the surrounding neighborhoods, along with Legislator Carsky.  It was also agreed that the Public Works Committee would forward a memo to the County Executive asking for the current review of the Bronx River Parkway being done by the Administration, be completed as soon as possible.  Legislator Maisano will draft a letter and send it to members for comment.

 

Legislator Wishnie made a motion to adjourn.  Seconded by Legislator Noto.  All in favor 5-0.
