Legislator Maisano called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
Committee Blueprint
Legislator Maisano requested the committee members to submit any changes or additions to the blueprint by Friday (4/7/00). He stated that he would prepare a draft for the committee’s review at the next meeting.
Legislator Maisano stated that there will be two public meetings (dates to be announced) Midland Avenue Bridge – Spring date: Sewer Consolidation – Summer date. Legislator Maisano requested Legislators Carsky and Pinto to follow up on dates and locations for the public meetings.
Legislator Pinto stated that Legislator Carsky and he are frequently called in reference to repairs/services to the bridges. He also stated that the committee should be updated on repairs made to the bridges and surfaces.
Legislator Pinto informed the committee that he had received a letter from DEP, Mr. Busse, regarding the Lakeside Road Bridge and the Deans Bridge requesting action taken by the committee. He stated that he had attended a meeting with all the supervisors from the North. At that meeting, there was an agreement to take the bridge down. He also stated that he had informed the committee that the Town of Bedford had to adopt a resolution to authorize the County to issue an Order to remove Lakeside Bridge. As for Deans Bridge, he stated that the committee should write a letter requesting a railroad

crossing and consider adding an exit ramp to the Southbound Route 684/Route 116 intersection.
The Chair requested Legislator Pinto to draft a letter for discussion at the next meeting.
The Chair informed the committee that DPW Deputy Commissioner Ralph Butler will discuss the following at the next meeting;
The Albany Post Road over Annsbille Creek – Cortlandt
New Pedestrian Bridge Bronx River Parkway, North of Crane,
(Scarsdale)
Legislator Maisano stated that our next three meetings will be on the following dates; April 11, April 25, and May 9, 2000.
An issue to be discussed at the May 9, 2000 meeting will be an update on the courthouse.
Agenda Item # 6
Legislator Ryan stated that this is a petition of the Town of North Castle for the extension of the Blind Brook Sewer District to be co-terminus with the boundaries of Sewer District No. 2. He also stated that he would like to request the Chair to invite Commissioner Landi to come and address the committee on the issues involved. The Chair agreed to invite the Commissioner.
