WATER DISTRICT #2 (6/18/96) HON. GEORGE OROS: Petition from the Northern Westchester Joint Water Works Committee to transfer the Amawalk Filtration Plant from County Water District #2. [6/26: Forward to Administration for necessary legislation].

[7/19/96: County Executive Response: Commissioner Trelewicz will work with the County Attorney to draft necessary legislation to effect the transfer of ownership. Due to complexities, it is expected to take at least 6 months to a year to complete a full investigation of the legal and financial effects of this transfer and to develop the required legislation, then at that time, it will be submitted for a full Board vote].
