*D R A F T M I N U T E S COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1996 2 P.M.
PRESENT: Co-Chair: Wishnie. Members: Carsky, Delfino, Latimer, Darcy. Staff: John Egner-DPW; Emilia Vita, Secretary.
ALSO PRESENT: George Hosey, Chairman-CBAC.
The meeting was called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. by Co-Chair Wishnie.
Mr. Wishnie handed out a memo from the County Attorney that amends sections of the Laws of the Prequalification and Selection Boards (Item B). He explained that some of these changes were typos and some were minor language changes with little or no impact to the remainder of the law. All members were in favor, none opposed, the Resolution was signed and approved to call a Public Hearing for Monday, December, 2, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. This item will be put on the blue sheet for this evening Board meeting. Item is received and filed [5-0] on the motion of Legislator Carsky, seconded by Legislator Darcy.
ITEMS I and T: Yonkers Dewatering Facility. Both items will remain on the agenda until the members meet and tour the Yonkers Facility on December 4, 1996, at 4:00 p.m. followed by a meeting with Legislator Stewart-Cousins and community members.
ITEM G: Renovations of the Courthouse and monies due for completion of work: Item is received and filed on the motion of Legislator Darcy, seconded by Legislator Carsky [5-0].
ITEM L: County Center Parking. Legislator Wishnie will send a memo to Dr. Hankin-WCC to join Commissioner DeSantis to discuss options for incorporated of funds to pay for student parking. Item is received and filed on the motion of Legislator Darcy, seconded by Legislator Carsky [5-0].
ITEM R: Dunwoodie Golf Course: Item is received and filed on the motion of Legislator Carsky, seconded by Legislator Darcy [5-0].
The minutes of October 21 and 28 were approved as amended [5-0].
Legislator Darcy asked if the Chair could get a response from Commissioner DeSantis regarding the clean up of Nature Woods in New Rochelle.
There will be a special meeting on Wednesday, December 4th, at 4:00 p.m. to tour the Yonkers Water Treatment Plant (Items I and T) followed by a public meeting with Legislator Stewart-Cousins and the local community to discuss the capping, odors and the expansion of two additional hoppers. See Emilia for necessary arrangements.
Legislator Wishnie asked Mr. Latimer to draft a final resolution regarding the policy and procedures of the SSES (Inflow & Infiltration).
The meeting adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m. on the motion of Legislator Wishnie, seconded by Legislator Darcy. |
