Mr. Ryan has asked Board Chair Lois Bronz to reappoint Legislator Sue Swanson to the Committee. That request is currently under consideration.
Motion by Mr. Wishnie to require three members to be present for a quorum. Motion passed, 5-0.

Mr. Hall expressed concern that the tactics used to enforce such a law could be viewed as profiling by some, evoking a host of potential constitutional issues. He added there are many parents who are opposed to this legislation.
Mr. Mosiello explained the rationale behind the legislation: to require additional experience and instruction time behind the wheel for teenagers learning to drive before they become fully licensed. Enforcement of the law would occur during a routine traffic stop.
Mr. Ryan said the Committee program specialist would compile the various bills filed in the State Legislature and related memoranda for review by members.
