BOND ACTS:

RP039

RPO39 is a proposed bond act authorizing the issuance of $2,200,000 in bonds for Parks, Recreation & Conservation – Playland Roof Replacement Project.

Repair and replacement of the Playland Boathouse roof and related building elements are desperately needed.  The boathouse is one of the original elements of Playland and contributes to its historic significance and National Historic Landmark status.  Work will consist of the careful removal and storage of the terra cotta roof tiles, repair/replacement of the wood roof framing and sheathing and reinstallation of the roof tiles with replacement of any that are damaged or broken.  Removal of deteriorated elements, replacement with durable materials and improvements of foundations and decking of the boathouse’s colonnade and its second story living spaces (which is rented to Parks employees) will also take place.  The removal of the current boathouse and construction of a brand new facility will hinder the Park’s historic landmark status.

This item was held over in the Committee on Budget & Appropriations awaiting additional information.  Therefore, Legislator Mosiello will do the same.

RCP7A

RCP7A is a proposed bond act authorizing the issuance of $250,000 in bonds for Parks, Recreation & Conservation – Croton Point Redevelopment Infrastructure.
