The meeting was called to order at 11:40 p.m.

MINUTES

Legislator Alvarado made a motion to approve the minutes of January 6, 2003 and was seconded by Legislator Pinto.  The vote was 3-0.

BOND ACTS:

RSP02

RSP02 is a proposed bond act authorizing the issuance of $610,000 in bonds – Sprain Ridge Pool Modernization.

The project involves the reconstruction of the existing pool complex at Sprain Ridge Park.  This request will fund the construction of the children’s pool area and the replacement of the existing spray facility with a complete aquatic playground system at the site (including equipment, piping, decking, filters, fencing, landscape treatments & site furniture).

This item was signed out by the Committee on Budget & Appropriations earlier today.

Legislator Pinto made a motion to sign out Bond Act RSP02 and it was seconded by Legislator Alvarado.  The vote was 3-0.

RGIP2

RGIP2 is a proposed bond act authorizing the issuance of $950,000 to finance the Parkwide Comfort Station rehabilitation project.

Capital Projects RGIP2 proposes the rehabilitation of the 34 existing toilet buildings in the County Park system, which are over 30 years old.  The scope of the improvements will include: new toilet & sink fixtures, new gable roofs, ventilation and electrical upgrade and related site work.

The project is being accomplished in phases.  This current request will fund improvements to eight comfort stations: 1 – Dunwoodie Golf Course; 2 – Sprain Ridge Park; 1 – Saxon Woods Park; 3 – Blue Mountain Park and 1 – Mohansic Golf Course.

This item was signed out by the Committee on Budget & Appropriations on January 21, 2003.

Legislator Pinto made a motion to sign out Bond Act RGIP2 and it was seconded by Legislator Alvarado.  The vote was 3-0.

Recv’d & Filed

Legislator Pinto made a motion to receive and file Items #44 into the “Davids Island” subfolder and it was seconded by Legislator Alvarado.  The vote was 3-0.

Legislator Pinto made a motion to receive and file Items #45 into the “Playland Ice Casino” subfolder and it was seconded by Legislator Alvarado.  The vote was 3-0.
