The meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m.
BOND ACT RLAS1
Bond Act RLAS1 is a request to authorize the issuance of $100,000 in bonds – Design and construction management of the replacement of the overhead electrical service along the main road to an underground conduit at Lasdon Park in the Town of Somers.
This Bond Act was discussed in length at the June 3, 2002 Committee meeting but was not signed out at that time because the Committee on Budget & Appropriations (B&A) was awaiting additional information. Since then B&A has received and is satisfied with the requested information.
Legislator Alvarado made a motion to approve Bond Act RLAS 1 and it was seconded by Legislator Bronz. Tthe vote was 3-0.
REPORT (PLAYLAND PARK)
David Simpson, BOL Program Specialist, authored a report on behalf of the Committee on Parks & Recreation at the request of Legislator Mosiello. The report details the Committee’s findings based on input received at two (2) public hearings regarding a Comprehensive Master Plan for Playland Park. Mr. Simpson gave the Members an overview of the report.
Legislator Mosiello asked that the Members review the report and deal directly with Mr. Simpson as to any additions or corrections that they may have by Friday, June 21, 2002. The Members commended Mr. Simpson on “a job well done”.
The Committee will meet on Monday, June 24, 2002 to approve the report and move that it be submitted to Legislator Wishnie and the Committee on Budget & Appropriations.

Legislator Alvarado made a motion to receive and file Items # 1 & 5 (RE: South County Trailway) and was seconded by Legislator Bronz. The vote was 3-0.
