Chair, Swanson called the meeting to order at 4:10
Minutes of January 13, 2003 and January 27, 2003 meetings were approved. Vote 6-0
AFRICAN AMERICAN ADVISORY BOARD
Jim Bostic has excellent written and communication skills, accompanied by a high level of efficiency and organization. He has an outstanding ability to interact with clients, personnel and all levels of administration.
His professional experience includes, Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Assistant Basketball Coach, Head Basketball Coach, Interim Teacher, Professional Basketball Player and Director of Activities.
Mr. Bostic has attended meetings and signed oath. Motion by Mrs. Spreckman, seconded by Mr. Pinto, Mr. Bostic was appointed to the African American Advisory Board. Vote 6-0. Resolution will be signed when correct paperwork comes down from C.E. Office.
There was a discrepancy in the paperwork from the County Executive’s office. The Resolutions sent down were all expired. We need new Resolutions from the C. E. office for the African American Advisory Board before they can be signed out.
Cora Miles was Assistant Principal, Staff Developer, Regional Coordinator, Program Coordinator and classroom teacher. She has professional certifications which include, School Administrator and Supervisor, reading teacher, teacher, Nursery school to grade 6, Principal, Elementary, Intermediate and Jr. High School. She is Staff Developer in the Resolving Conflicts Creatively Program.
Motion by Mrs. Spreckman, seconded by Mr. Pinto, Mrs. Miles was appointed to the African American Advisory Board, Vote 6-0. Resolution will be signed when correct paperwork comes down from C.E. Office.
David Cheek has attended meetings. His professional experience includes Vice President-Senior Relationship Manager, Private banking group, Manager-training seminar, Project Manager, Director, Affirmative Action Recruitment, Senior Administrative Officer, Deputy Branch Manager.
Motion by Mr. Ryan, seconded by Mr. Young, Mr. Cheek was appointed to the African American Advisory Board, Vote 6-0. Resolution will be signed when correct paperwork comes down from C. E. Office.
