Resolution which was recommitted due to language change on County’s Work Badge Policy.  Chair Swanson also wants put in that they restrict people from getting onto the floor.

Perry Ochacher, Clerk of the Board wanted to know why the Resolution was necessary to begin with.  Andrew Neumann said they had gotten a request from Legislator Abinanti to have a copy of the County Executive’s Executive order given to him.  His argument was that since the BOL is a separate and independent branch, that they should have their own rules governing the use of Employee I.D.  Mr. Ryan stated that after 9/11 the Legislators started to explore which ways to go regarding a security system that would work for the board and the county departments and agencies.  The Board decided to approve one uniform system of controlled access to the Michaelian Office Building, using the employee I.D. Cards. Mr. Ryan said the legislative security policy is ours to determine.  Mrs. Swanson changed the date and legislators signed this out.

On motion by Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Ryan meeting adjourned at 5:17.

Vote 4-0.
