Mrs. Swanson called the meeting to order at 4:10 pm

On motion by Mrs. Swanson seconded by Mrs. LaMotte, Item 2 Received and Filed.  Vote 3-0.

On motion by Mrs. Swanson, seconded by Mr. Pinto, Item 5 Received and Filed.  Vote 3-0.

On motion of Mrs. Swanson, seconded by Mr. Pinto, Minutes from July 22, 2002 meeting were approved.  Vote 3-0.

Hispanic Advisory Board

Mr. Robert Michell is an owner/operator of McDonald’s.  He has been awarded four stores in four years.  He was also a financial consultant for R.D. Michell & Company which provided services to various small businesses.  He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics at the University of Chicago and a MastersDegree in Accounting and Marketing from Northwest University.

On motion of Mrs. LaMotte, seconded by Mr. Pinto, nomination of Mr. Michell approved.  Vote 3-0.

Human Rights Comm

Lisa Copeland is presently City Clerk to the City Council and Board of Estimate and Contract, Registrar of Vital Statistics for birth and death,Commissioner of licenses and local permits and Custodian of Elections.

On motion of Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mrs. LaMotte, nomination of Ms. Copeland approved.  Vote 3-0

African American Advisory Board

On motion of Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mrs. LaMotte, nomination of Ms. Copeland approved.  Vote 3-0.

On motion of Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mrs. LaMotte, meeting adjourned at 4:35
