MINUTES, JULY 8, 2002, 4:00 PM
LEGISLATORS: Chair, Swanson, Young, Pinto, Ryan, Bronz
Mrs. Swanson called the meeting to order at 4:12 PM
Mr. William J. Rothschild is being appointed as a member of the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board for a term to expire on December 31, 2002. Mr. Rothschild is presently a Paramedic with Empress Ambulance Company, Yonkers with 10 years of service. Prior to that he was supervisor of Emergency Medical Technicians at Playland. He has numerous awards and achievements.
On motion of Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Young, nomination of Mr. Rothschild was approved. Vote 5-0
Mr. Morton J. David is being appointed as a member of the Westchester County Taxi and Limousine Commission for a term to expire on December 31, 2005. Mr. David was a teacher, assistant principal, and Dean of Students
On motion of Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mrs. Bronz, nomination of Mr. David was approved. Vote 5-0.
Mr. Timothy J. Tynan is being appointed as a member of the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board for a term to expire on December 31, 2004. Mr. Tynan is Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer for the Business Services Division at Citigroup. He was also an executive at IBM and has served as a member of the Borough of Manhattan Community College Board of Directors.
On motion Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Ryan, nomination of Mr. Tynan was approved. Vote 5-0.
Expiration dates for reappointments on the Emergency Medical Service Advisory Board from County Executive’s office are not correct. They are only for one year. Bill Randolph will check into this. Mr. Ryan also suggested that all reappointments should come back to the board explaining what they have done.
On motion by Mr. Ryan, seconded by Mr. Young, the meeting adjourned at 4:56.
