COMMITTEE ON COUNTYOFFICERS & DEPARTMENTS

WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2001

3:00 P.M.

 

 

PRESENT:  Chair:  LaMotte.  Members:  Oros, Pinto, Stewart-Cousins, and Swanson.  Staff:  Schecter, Vita.

 

Mrs. LaMotte called the meeting to order at 3:10 p.m.

 

REAPPOINTMENTS:

YOUTH BOARD:

Elizabeth Mark; Clarence Lander:  Both have been approved for reappointment to the Westchester County Youth Board by a 4-0 vote.  Thie term expires on December 31, 2003.  Motion carried by Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Swanson.

 

 

HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION:

Paul Ryan; Eugene Conroy; Joseph Armao; Wendy Serkin:  All have been approved for reappointment to the Westchester County Human Rights Commission by a 4-0 vote.  Their term expires on December 31, 2003.  Motion carried by Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins.

 

Dorothy Finger was not approved because her appointment letter was not included with the group of names.  Mrs. LaMotte will check with the Administration regarding this matter.

 

The appointments of Dr. Jane Petro and Denise D’Amico to the Women’s Advisory Board have been received and filed.  Both candidates resigned their position on the Board.  This was approved on the motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Pinto.

 

On the motion of Legislator LaMotte, seconded by Legislator Pinto, the minutes of May 21^st were approved as amended by a 4-0 vote.

 

The meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m., on the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator Stewart-Cousins.
