Chairman Delfino called the meeting to order at 9:25 a.m.

 

MINUTES:

Legislator Spreckman motioned to approve the minutes of May 19, 1997, and was seconded by Legislator Swanson. The motion was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

DISCUSSION:

Chairman Delfino began the meeting by stating that Marilyn Slaatten had put together a forty-one page document of comments about the Code of Ethics. He requested that Tina Moro copy it and distribute to the Committee Members for their review. Chairman Delfino stated that they will be meeting with Stacey Kmetz.

 

RE-APPOINTMENTS:

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Matthew J. Alongi to the Transportation Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

The Committee reviewed the profile of the Refuse Disposal District Advisory Board, then voted on each individual Resolution.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Jesse D. Crell as a member of the Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of David L. Snyder as a member of the Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Spreckman, seconded by Legislator Swanson, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Lewis F. Leslie as a member of the Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Spreckman, seconded by Legislator Swanson, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Robert Zipf as a member of the Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Herman Bates as a member of the Refuse Disposal District No. 1 Advisory Board was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

The Committee reviewed the profile of the Citizens Consumer Advisory Council, then voted on each individual Resolution.

 

The Committee had a question on the Resolution for Mark S. Herrmann, so it is being held until they have the answer.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of George F. Hosey as a member of the Citizens Consumer Advisory Council was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Rita Plate as a member of the Citizens Consumer Advisory Council was carried by a vote of 3-0.

On motion of Legislator Spreckman, seconded by Legislator Swanson, the motion to approve the Resolution confirming the re-appointment of Annette L. Guarino, Esq. as a member of the Citizens Consumer Advisory Council was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to receive and file the Designation of Deputies for the County Clerk was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to receive and file the 1996 Annual Report of the Department of Environmental Facilities/Solid Waste Division was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Swanson, seconded by Legislator Spreckman, the motion to receive and file the 1996 Annual Report of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation was carried by a vote of 3-0.

 

Legislator Swanson motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:43 a.m. and was seconded by Legislator Spreckman. The motion was carried by a vote of 3-0.
