MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 17, 2002

The meeting was called to order at 10:45 p.m.

Legislator Young congratulated Legislator Alvarado on the birth of his daughter, Amy Isabel, born on September 14, 2002 and extended his best wishes to Mom and Baby.

RECEIVE & FILE

Legislator Alvarado made a motion to receive and file Items #1, 3, 5 & 6 on the agenda and was seconded by Legislator Young.  The vote was 2-0.

ITEM# 8 – “Unlawful Discriminatory Practices in the Sale, Lease or Rental of Real Property”

The Members held a brief discussion on this legislation.  It was agreed that the Committee not take any action at this time so that discussions and/or suggestions could be made to the Committee on Legislation to broaden the language in the legislation.

MINUTES

Legislator Alvarado made a motion to accept the minutes of July 30, 2002 and was seconded by Legislator Young.  The vote was 2-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
