The meeting was called to order at 1:10 pm.

 

MINUTES:

Legislator Bronz made a motion to approve the minutes of August 17, 1999 and was seconded by Chair Young.  The motion was carried by a vote of 2-0.

 

Chair Young stated that the purpose of this meeting was to have a “brainstorming” session regarding the construction of a bronze sculpture of Martin Luther King, Jr. in Westchester County.  The Committee on Minority Affairs invited individuals from different levels of government, organizations and corporations.

 

Mr. Sherrill made the presentation.

 

The Committee and attending guests discussed several ideas, questions and options.

 

Legislator Bronz made a motion to adjourn at 1:42 pm and was seconded by Chair Young.  The motion was carried by a vote of 2-0.
