COMMITTEE ON LEGISLATION MINUTES, May 17, 1999 DRAFT MEMBERS: Andrea Stewart-Cousins (Chair), Lou Mosiello, Bill Ryan, Thomas Abinanti, George Oros, George Latimer, Jim Maisano, Lois Bronz LEGISLATORS: Richard Wishni, Susan Swanson STAFF: Dolores Heredia

The meeting commenced at 2:00 PM. Leg. Stewart-Cousins opened the floor and the first agenda item discussed was agenda item # 90. There was concern whether this would too strick to adhere to and Leg. Stewart-Cousins asked Mr. Scheinkman to discuss this item. After some discussion the Committee requested that a section be redrafted. Mr. Scheinkman agreed to redraft these changes. Next Leg. Stewart-Cousins inquired into the status of the Westchester County Limousine Commission. Mr. Scheinkman gave an update on this topic. He is hopeful that the legislation will pass and both the Senate and the Assembly were very supportive of this. Leg. Pinto had several questions The next topic for discussion was Trash hauling. Leg. Stewart-Cousins distributed letters she received. Leg. Abinanti brought the Committee up to date and discussed how the law has been revisedl. The committee agreed that June 1st will be to disucss trash. Next the topic of discussion was the POW. The letter urging both Distribute the trash law to commiteee Next the minutes of May 10, 1999 were discussed. Leg. Mosiello to adjourn, seconded by Leg. Latimer. The meeting ended at 3:30 PM.
