The meeting commenced at 4:15 PM.

 

The first item discussed was item A-3. Copies of petitions which were sent to the President of the United states from residents of the Larchmont/Mamaroneck area urging that governmental support for the small local social service agencies and public education organizations. Leg. Latimer moved to refer this item to Community Affairs, second by Leg. Delfino. All in favor [3-0].

 

The next items discussed were agenda item number C-17, C-36, C-37. These items pertain to the Master Plumbers Exam issue. These items will be referred to COD (they will remain on Legislation’s Committee Agenda). Motion by Leg. Delfino, second by Leg. Latimer. All in favor [3-0].

 

The next item for discussion was agenda item C-27. A proposed local law in relation to the Fire Advisory Board and the creation of the Department of Fire Safety Services. Leg. Delfino moved to receive and file, second by Leg. Latimer. All in favor [3-0].

 

Item C-35, a letter from a constituent regarding bar closings, will be moved to the bar-closing file. Motion by Leg. Latimer, second by Leg. Delfino. All in favor [3-0].

Next, the Committee continued their discussion of the electricians law. When the committee meet last, they were in the process of reviewing the county attorney’s memorandum. The Committee continues this review.

 

The following sections were discussed:

Section 4 entitled "Powers and Duties of the Board"

Section 5 entitled "Licenses; Term Renewal Fees"

Section 6 entitled "Application for Licenses"

Section 7 entitled "Requirements; When Dispensed With"

 

The Committee agreed to meet next Tuesday to finish discussing the remaining sections of the memorandum. Leg. Latimer moved to adjourn, second by Leg. Delfino. The meeting ended at 5:20 PM
