1. Call to Order
Chair Latimer called Labor Committee to order at 4:32 p.m.
Chair Kaplowitz called Environment & Health to order at 4:33 p.m.
2. Motion by Legislator Maisano to move the proposed resolution
from CSEA with regards to health and safety. Seconded by Legislator Mosiello.
Discussion ensued. Motion made by Legislator Maisano to accept resolution. Seconded by Legislator Mosiello. All in favor – Labor – Aye. Environment & Health – Aye.
3. On motion by Legislator Maisano, seconded by Legislator Rogowsky, Environment & Health meeting adjourned – all in favor – aye.
4. Chair Latimer continued Labor meeting stating that he has sent to all labor unions in the County letters asking them to contact him with regards to any issues we could be of help.
Mr. Doyle responded with a letter about Apprenticeship agreements – this letter would be forwarded to the Clerk to be put on the agenda to be referred to the Labor committee.
5. Chair Latimer stated that there was a joint meeting of Labor and Cultural and Ethnic Diversity last Tuesday and that the County has two contracts for janitorial services using Accent Maintenance Services. These contracts are for 137 Alexander Street, Yonkers, and 100 East 1st Street, Mount Vernon. The County will be looking into these contracts.
6. Meeting adjourned by Chair Latimer at 4:50 p.m.
