[4-0].

Next Leg. Swanson discussed a recent visit she made to the hospital at the request of one of her constituents. There is no gate attendant at Ruth Taylor on weekends, this allows the hospital staff members to park there at 7:00 AM in the morning. Leg. Swanson stated that she attempted to get an Administrator and there was none available. The Administrator on call at the hospital, Adam Weinstein, did ask the staff members not to park in the lot again. Kevin Spiegel called Leg. Swanson and asked her to write the letter to APCOA regarding this issue (Mr. Spiegel believes it is not his job to police the parking). Leg. Swanson stated she asked Mr. Spiegel to make it his job that his staff does not park in these lots. Next, Leg. Stewart-Cousins discussed a constituent phone call regarding handicap parking. Her constituent stated that the handicap parking has been taken away.

Leg. Bronz stated that if there is an agreement that APCOA is running the parking it should be run according to County terms. Leg. The Committee will pose these questions to Commissioner Stolzenberg.

Next, the Committee discussed Mona Marcus’ letter of May 2, 1997, where she gives a breakdown of the number of Lyme warning signs in each County park. Leg. Bronz suggested forwarding this letter to the Commissioner of Parks and request his comments.
