The meeting commenced at 12:15 AM. Leg. Noto opened the meeting and asked for suggested topics and questions for the Roundtable discussion. After some discussion, the Task Force on Families agreed on the following questions:

    1. How can Robin Brown become more involved in County Attorney’s Office?
    2. Why doesn’t the County Attorney’s Office bring more cases, even if not strong cases, since this at least gives the opportunity to provide services for families?
    3. Why are incest cases not being referred to Kenneth Lau?
    4. Law Guardian Training.
    5. Who is following up on some of the dispositions of the supervised visits?
    6. The Special Unit within CPS to specialize in investigation.
    7. The establishment of a joint training program for CPS and local police departments.
    8. Are the Northern communities participating in the Child Advocacy Center at the Valhalla site?

Next the minutes of May 17, 1999 was discussed. Mrs. Paulin moved to approve, seconded by Leg. Noto. All in favor [2-0]. Mrs. Paulin moved to adjourn, seconded by Leg. Noto. The meeting ended at 12:45 PM.
