The meeting commenced at 12:10 PM. Leg. Noto opened the floor for discussion and the Task Force recapped on its last meeting. With regards to child support, Mrs. Paulin noted that there has been incredible progress, and many of the Task Force’s recommendations are being implemented. Leg. Bronz suggested that a follow-up report, similar to the one on domestic violence, can be done on this topic. With regards to child sexual abuse, Mrs. Paulin believes that there are many areas that are not working out. For example, she noted that there is lack of communication between the Yonkers police and St. Josephs. The Task Force noted that they would like to take a field trip to look at the Advocacy Center in Valhalla, that is scheduled to open soon. Mrs. Paulin noted that the Task Force should invite Mr. Ken Lau to see how they can better address this topic. The Task Force agreed that a progress report was necessary. The Task Force will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 29th at 1:00 PM. At this time they will draft a list of who they would like to invite to the upcoming meetings to begin working on the progress report.
