TASK FORCE ON FAMILIES MINUTES, February 23, 1999 DRAFT
MEMBERS: Paul J. Noto (Co-Chair), Lois Bronz (Co-Chair), Amy Paulin (Member) GUEST(S): None attended STAFF: Dolores Heredia, Sally Schecter
The meeting commenced at 12:25 PM. Mrs. Paulin began the meeting by given an explanation on a dilemma regarding domestic violence money and a potential conflict with a program at Pace Law School. Mrs. Paulin noted that she believed this was an issue that was resolved between the Administration, Charlotte Watson and Pace Law School; however it is not. Leg. Bronz noted that she would inquire into this situation. Next the Task Force discussed inviting Nancy Travers from Child Protective Services on Tuesday, March 9, at 12:00 noon to discuss procedures as well as address some problems experienced by a constituent. In addition, the Task Force will also discuss child support. The Task Force tentatively scheduled Wednesday, March 17th as an alternative date. Next Mrs. Paulin discussed homeless children. Mrs. Paulin noted that there appears to be some inconsistencies in Westchester County with regards to the housing and education of these children. Mrs. Paulin noted that she is attending a meeting on this topic and she will further advise the Task Force as to whether or not this is a potential topic. Next the Task Force discussed the minutes of February 9, 1999. Leg. Noto moved to approve, seconded by Leg. Bronz. All in favor [3-0]. Leg. Bronz moved to adjourn, seconded by Leg. Noto . All in favor [3-0]. The meeting ended at 12:55 PM.
