The meeting commenced at 12:25 PM. A motion to accept the

July 14, 1998 minutes by Leg. Noto and seconded by Leg. Bronz.

Leg. Noto discussed preparation for the visit by Commissioner Mahon on Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. A copy of reports on No More Secrets, a comprehensive program to combat child sexual abuse in Westchester County, and Kids Can’t Wait, a comprehensive report on child support collection in Westchester County were sent to Commissioner Mahon for review.

The Committee has several issues for the Commissioner to address on how the Department of Social Services is handling welfare sanctions, Medicaid benefits and what interaction do the clients have with their caseworker

Barbara Dodds was asked to compile questions on child abuse, child support and domestic violence.

A report will be drafted by the committee on their findings on Children Who Witness Domestic Violence.

Another meeting will be scheduled with Carolyn Hedlund of the Mental Heath Association of Westchester County.

The next Task Force meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 1998, at 11:00 AM. The meeting ended at 12:40 PM.
