The meeting commenced at 11:40 AM. The first item for discussion was the minutes of May 19, 1998 approved and seconded by Leg. Bronz.

The Task Force moved to sign out the Resolution endorsing Sexual Assault Reform Act of 1998. The Task Force has urged the Senate to pass this bill to ensure protection for women and children.

Another issue the Task Force wants to continue to pursue is uninsured child.

Leg. Bronz will work on the Department of Social Services Advisory committee to put in writing the mission of this organization and make up a list of new people for the June 15, 1998 meeting.

Amy Paulin stated that she would focus on the welfare status, and look at the mission statement concerning child-care, transportation, and where the jobs are.

Leg. Noto discussed Dr. Feinberg’s material and a copy of his material was forwarded to Janice Viola of the Domestic Violence Council.

Next the Task Force meeting which will be held on Monday, June 15, 1998, at 11:00 AM.
