The Committee Blueprint was reviewed next.  Legislator LaMotte suggested rewording item #3 under “Possible Outputs”, to specify - including parkland.  After minor revisions, the Blueprint was accepted on the motion of Legislator Pinto, seconded by Legislator LaMotte and carried 4-0, with all in favor.  There was a brief discussion regarding new subcommittees and a decision was made to set a deadline for May 15th to announce the subcommittee topics.

MTBE was the next topic to be discussed.  Chair Kaplowitz read the letter being sent to Governor George Pataki, State Senators and Congress, asking their support by signing the legislation which would ban the use of MTBE as a gasoline additive, in New York State.  Copies of signed petitions, initiated by the Board of Legislators, will be enclosed along with the letters.

Agenda item #44, regarding Hilltop Property Purchase, was received and filed on the motion of Legislator LaMotte, seconded by Legislator Pinto and carried 4-0.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
