The Committee on the Environment went on tour to the Westchester County Airport facility. The bus departed from the MOB-I at approx-imately 1:45 p.m. and arrived at the Airport at approximately 2:00 p.m., in front of the Main Terminal. A group of people boarded the bus, then headed for "Hangar-E" to pick-up a few more passengers for the tour. We were also joined by Channel 12 – Cable News who accompanied the tour and covered the event.

Henry Stanton addressed the group and gave a brief description of the tour route. Mr. Stanton stressed the importance of keeping alert to the issues of safety while visiting the hangar site and Blind Brook.

The tour continued and the passengers got off the bus to visit the site of the new GE Hangar. While at the site, Bill Harrington emphasized that the new project will not increase pollution at the site.
