MINUTES COMMITTEE ON THE ENVIRONMENT NOVEMBER 12, 1997 AT 2:30 P.M. PRESENT: Chair Carsky, Leg. LaMotte ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Yoegel, Mrs. Keating ITEMS DISCUSSED: Chair Carsky called the meeting to order at 2:45 P.M. Chair Carsky stated that we learned late Monday that Mr. Axelson was unable to come today and will be in on Tuesday, 18th at 2:30 P.M. The Committee will also meet on Tuesday morning with the Budget Committee on Transportation. On Motion of Leg. LaMotte, seconded by Chair Carsky, the minutes of October 28 were approved 2-0. Chair Carsky received a letter regarding the "d" class hauling permit from the New York State Turf and Landscape Association. Now that there have been four or five years experience with hauling, they would like to be able to do this without a "d" class permit. This has been okayed by DEF and is in the Law Department awaiting disposition. Leg. LaMotte will follow-up on the Wastewater Treatment Facility for Peach Lake. The Committee reviewed the agenda and most items will be addressed next Tuesday at either the Budget Committee Meeting or the afternoon Environment Committee meeting. On motion of Leg. LaMotte, seconded by Chair Carsky, the committee received and filed the Federal Lead Paint Disclosure Law under the tracking file.
On motion of Leg. LaMotte, seconded by Chair Carsky, the meeting adjourned at 3:10 p.m. |
