Chair Carsky turned the meeting over to Comm. Oliva to update the Committee on the Corridor Management Plan and the timetable for same. Chair Carsky stated that she has a few names for the Advisory Board that was discussed at the last meeting.

Comm. Oliva informed the Committee that the Planning Department has been working with the State. The State made a few changes. We must follow the state guidelines to receive grant money. The State considers Tourism as a large component to this project. Hopefully, we will try to work in outdoor cafes, shopping, etc. to revitalize the area.

Chair Carsky what type of park the Bronx River is and both Commissioners agreed that it is passive. Comm. Oliva stated that the "River" is an asset and we consider it a front door to Westchester County.

The discussion then went on to discuss bridges on the Parkway. There will be much disruption due to Harney Road and the Woodlands Viaduct Bridge. Chair Carsky asked if the local municipalities are consulted regarding detours and Comm. Landi stated that they usually tell the County what their preference is.
