COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS AND HOUSING

ITEMS DISCUSSED:
Chair Oros called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. The Committee stated that they would work together to implement Plan C. We will, however, need to go through the State Legislature for full autonomy.
Dr. Hankin outlined and handed out a memo from Mr. Scheinkman regarding ways to implement parts of Plan C now.
Chair Oros asked if we implement these steps is it necessary to go forward with a full Plan C. Dr. Hankin stated that we should start with this and we will talk about the rest of Plan C in the future.
Leg. Swanson brought up the noise issue at the Soccer Field adjacent to Whitewood Road. Dr. Hankin stated that he would do what he could to stop play on Sundays.
Mr. Salley explained the HIF Grant for Peekskill. It will be a 3 story building with a 2 bedroom $70,000 selling price. CDBG is contributing $200,000 for the public infra structure. It will be financed from Chase Development Corporation. On motion of Mrs. Bronz, seconded by Mr. Young, the Committee approved the HIF
