COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFIARS AND HOUSING

FEBRUARY 8, 1999

PRESENT: Chair Oros, Legs: Young and

Bronz

ALSO PRSENT: Mr. Burton and Mrs. Keating

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

Chair Oros called the meeting to order at 3:10 p.m. Mr. Oros explained his conversation with Mr. Schwartz regarding the Community College.

Mrs. Bronz updated the committee on the next affordable housing meeting with should be in early March.

Mr. Young updated the committee on the Economic Development Sub-Committee. He stated that their main concern was affordable housing.

On motion of Mrs. Bronz, seconded by Mr. Young, Mr. Mosiello's communication re: rent guidelines zero increase was received and filed 3-0.

The Committee requested that Commr. DeSantis come in to discuss the Mountain Lakes and Lenoir Preserve at our next meeting.

On motion of Mr. Young, seconded by Mrs. Bronz, Items F and M regarding the rifle range noise were received and filed 3-0.

On motion of Leg. Young, seconded by Leg. Bronz, illegal immigration was received and filed 3-0.

On motion of Mrs. Bronz, seconded by Mr. Young, Mr. Latimer's communication regarding cell towers was received and filed 3-0.

On motion of Mr. Young, seconded by Mrs. Bronz, the committee received and filed Industry and Occupational trends but will forward same to the Economic Development Committee.

On motion of Mr. Young, seconded by Mrs. Bronz, Mrs. LaMotte's communication regarding electric power industry deregulation was received and filed 3-0.

On motion of Mr. Young, seconded by Mrs. Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
