COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

JULY 6, 1998 3:00 P.M.

PRESENT: Chair Oros, Legs. Bronz & Spreckman

ALSO PRESENT: Mrs. Keating

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

Chair Oros called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. He received a communication from the County Attorney regarding Rory O’Moore Park and directed Mrs. Keating to circulate same to the committee.

On motion of Leg. Bronz, seconded by Leg. Spreckman, the committee signed out the proposed legislation to terminate Paper Place in the City of Peekskill and forwarded same to the Budget Committee.

Chair Oros will speak with Mr. Kaplowitz regarding the Right of First Refusal on the Kitchawan Park Preserve. Mr. Kaplowitz then came into the Committee and asked that the Committee wait until the Supervisor of Yorktown gets back to him regarding same.

On motion of Leg. Bronz, seconded by Leg. Spreckman, Mr. Abinanti’s communication regarding Urban Sprawl-Patterns was received and filed.

Chair Oros will speak with Chairman Latimer regarding Cellular Towers.

The Committee plans to sign out a resolution at the next meeting to put the word housing back into the Committee’s title.

There was a discussion on Mr. Raymond’s proposed resolution. It was suggested that the Committee we get copies of the plan and ask George Raymond for the case from which he lifted the language before any action is taken.

On motion of Leg. Spreckman, seconded by Leg. Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
