COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

MARCH 3, 1997 AT 1:30 P.M.

 

PRESENT: Chair Bronz, Leg. Stewart-Cousins

 

ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Swee and Mrs. Keating

 

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

Chair Bronz called the meeting to order at 1:40 P.M. The matter concerning Rory O’More Park is still under discussion. We have yet to receive the meets and bounds for the City.

 

Chair Bronz requested Mrs. Keating to write a letter to Ms. Hastings for a Progress Report on Woodfield Cottage.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Mr. Oros’ communication on the new Cortlandt Railroad Station was received and filed 2-0.

 

Items D, M and N - all relating to the Airport will be discussed jointly with the Budget Committee.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the Northridge Equestrian Stable was received and filed 2-0.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the communication from Mr. Donovan regarding ceding certain responsibilities to the Towns was received and filed 2-0.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Items H, I, J, R and S regarding Rory O’Moore Park, were received and filed 2-0.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, items L and O from Supv. Feiner regarding bus racks on County buses were received and filed 2-0.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Mr. Latimer’s communication on New York State Child Care Work Campaign was received and filed 2-0.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Mr. Latimer’s communication supporting Assembly Bill #41 was received and filed 2-0.

 

The Committee will await a report back from the Economic Development Task Force on the Historic Hudson Valley.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
