COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

October 28, 1996

Items Discussed

Chair Bronz called the meeting to order at 1:10 P.M. The Committee reviewed the agenda. Since Items B, D & H were referred to the Committee on Public Works, the committee removed them from their agenda.

The City of Yonkers resolutions regarding buses and bus stops was discussed at a meeting attended by Leg. Stewart-Cousins and she stated that she felt this matter was taken care of in Yonkers. On motion of Legislator Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Leg. Bronz, Item E was received and filed.

Chair Bronz suggested a joint meeting with the Legislation Committee regarding Mr. Mosiello’s letter on ETPA.

Hon. Donovan’s communication regarding ceding certain responsibilities to the towns will be discussed at a future meeting when the committee will invite Mr. Donovan and the gentlemen who wrote the letter.

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Item I regarding the recent violations of the Airport Curfew was received and filed.

Item L - Mr. Feiner’s communication regarding bus racks on County buses was referred to Comm. Petrocelli for his comments.

Item M - will have a joint meeting with the Environment Committee to discuss airplane pollution caused by exhausts and Item N - future meeting with Public Works on Airport.

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
