COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

SEPTEMBER 16, 1996 10:30 A.M.

PRESENT: Chair Bronz, Leg. Stewart-Cousins

ALSO PRESENT: Lynn Keating, Don Sandford.

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

Chair Bronz called the meeting to order. The Committee discussed their recent referrals and felt that the following should have been referred to the Committee on Public Works and will write to the Committee and enclosed copies of the referrals

1) Hon. Abinanti: Forwarding a copy of a letter to Supv. Town/Greenburgh re: Mapping Sprain Road;

2) Hon. Feiner: Forwarding a letter regarding vines strangling

trees at Ridge Road Park;

3) County Executive: Proposed resolution directing the County

Water Agency to prepare maps and plans for the extension

of County Water District No. 2.

The Committee agreed that on September 30 at 1:00 P.M. we will discuss the IMA with Yorktown and we will also take up Mr. Donovan’s other referral regarding the Yorktown Town Board letter regarding ceding certain responsibilities to the towns.

The Committee also agreed that they will invite the Executive Director of the Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center in on September 30 for a discussion on their letter that was forwarded to the Committee by Leg. Latimer.

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Mr. Abinanti’s communication re: Glenville Woods was received and filed 2-0.

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the minutes of September 9, 1996, were approved 2-0.

There being no further items for discussion, on motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.M.
