COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

JULY 23, 1996 1:00 P.M.

 

PRESENT: Chair Bronz, Leg. Stewart-Cousins.

 

ALSO PRESENT: Lynn Keating

 

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

 

Chair Bronz called the meeting to order. She explained the resolution that, if adopted by the State, would have a box on your tax return to donate money for senior citizens.

 

On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the committee signed out the resolution 2-0.

 

On motion of Legislator Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the minutes of July 8, 1996, were approved 2-0.

 

Chair Bronz informed Leg. Stewart-Cousins, that she went to the site in Mamaroneck - which is presently a big hole. The project will cost roughly $80 million. It will have municipal offices on the first floor and 120 apartments. They are requesting roughly $1 million from the County. The legislation will probably be sent to the Board at our next meeting on August 19.

 

On motion of Legislator Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 1:30 P.M.
