MINUTES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS AND HOUSING MAY 6, 1996 1:00 P.M.
PRESENT: Chair Bronz, Leg. Stewart-Cousins.
ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Swee, Mr. Guzi and Mrs. Keating
ITEMS DISCUSSED:
Chair Bronz called the meeting to order at 1:15 P.M. Chair Bronz stated that she was able to book the Greenburgh Town Hall on Thursday, June 6 at 7:15 P.M. to hold a public forum on affordable housing. Greenburgh was chosen since they are receptive to housing and it would not be misconstrued as political. Chair Bronz also stated that she spoke with Comm. Oliva to reserve the date and that it might be helpful to have an informal discussion with Dr. Casella and Mr. Raymond prior to the meeting.
Chair Bronz stated that she would like the Planning Department to make a presentation with comments from the Planning Board and Planning Commission and then they will be open to public comment.
Leg. Stewart-Cousins asked who would be invited and Chair Bronz thought that Civic Associations, the Housing Authority and over income residents in subsidized housing. We will also announce that this will be the first of three meetings.
Chair Bronz asked Mrs. Keating to write to Comm. Oliva to confirm the date, time and place.
Chair Bronz also stated that she committed to two housing tours thought that they would be helpful and informative.
Chair Bronz stated that she did find a copy of the Kings Inn IMA and forwarded a copy to Leg. Abinanti.

Chair Bronz stated that she wanted it in the minutes that we are awaiting the Administration to send down a corrected version. There seems to be ministerial changes. We are awaiting a response from the letter written on February 29. Mrs. Keating stated that she will also make a notation on the agenda.
Regarding JobSTAR, Chair Bronz spoke with Mr. Carey and he stated he would do some research on the state level. Upon receipt of the information, the committee will sign out a resolution.
On Motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, Mr. Abinantis communication regarding the Yorktown Country Inn was received and filed 2-0.
Chair Bronz asked Mrs. Keating to check with Mrs. Gorski regarding the name change of the Committee.
Chair Bronz asked Mr. Boland to look into a memo she received from NYSAC. Mr. Boland stated that we will be receiving 300 computers which will be funded 75% by the Federal Government and 25% through the counties.
On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the minutes of April 29, were approved 2-0.
