MINUTES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AFFAIRS AND HOUSING MARCH 4, 1996 AT 1:00 P.M.
PRESENT: Chair Bronz, Leg. Stewart-Cousins.
ALSO PRESENT: Leg. Abinanti, Mr. Swee and Mrs. Keating
ITEMS DISCUSSED:
Chair Bronz called the meeting to order at 1:20 P.M. Chair Bronz asked Leg. Abinanti to explain his views on the Yorktown Country Inn. Mr. Abinanti requested a copy of the IMA for all to read and would like to know if there is any plan beyond 1988
Mr. Abinanti went on to say that it seems that we are just centralizing the homeless and he would like to know if there is any long range plan. How are all the people from the Lakeview Cottages and other motels throughout the area, all suppose to fit into the Coachman
Since there appeared to be several unanswered questions, Chair Bronz agreed to lay the matter over until the Administration can attend and until the committee receives a copy of the IMA.
On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the Communication forwarded by Mr. Latimer from the President of the Westchester County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving about a fee being charged for a demonstration at a County facility, was received and filed.
Chair Bronz stated that she had an informal discussion with Comm. Oliva and Deputy Comm. Salley regarding housing and that hopefully we will have a Committee of the Whole in late March or early April.
On motion of Leg. Stewart-Cousins, seconded by Chair Bronz, the meeting adjourned at 1:50 P.M.
