The meeting was called to order at 9 a.m.

Department of Emergency Services Commissioner Patrick Kelly discussed the need for the County Department of Emergency Services to purchase an aerial ladder truck.  It will be used as a training apparatus at the Fire Training Center where it will be garaged.  It will also be used by the County’s fire brigade for emergency response to Grasslands Reservation.

This is a $395,000 capital project to be financed through the issuance of serial bonds.  This ladder truck will be the second apparatus purchased primarily for training exercises at the Fire Training Center.  Last year, the Board authorized the purchase of a $295,000 fire engine for both training and emergency response.

A motion to report the item was reported by PSCJ by a vote of 4-0.  The item was also reported by B & A.
