SPECIAL MEETING

COUNTY BOARD OF LEGISLATORS

FEBRUARY 10, 2003 (8:00 A.M.)

The County Board of Legislators met in Special Session.

The Honorable Lois Bronz in the Chair.

The Chair opened the meeting with the salute to our flag and an invocation.

The roll call resulted as follows:

Legislators:  Young, Alvarado, Kaplowitz, Latimer, Pinto, Rogowsky, Ryan, Wishnie, Chair – 9.

Absent:  Maisano, Abinanti, LaMotte, Mosiello, Oros, Spreckman, Stewart-Cousins, Swanson 8.

SPECIAL ORDER:  CHAIR OF THE BOARD:  Home Rule Request-County Sales Tax:  RES ____-2003:  Requesting that the New York State Legislature pass legislation authorizing Westchester County to impose an additional 1% in sales tax.

The meeting was recessed at 8:25 a.m. to the call of the Chair.

The meeting was reconvened at 9:00 p.m.

Having not been presented with legislation from the State to act on, the meeting was adjourned without any activity.

On MOTION of Legislator Young,

the Board adjourned.
