SPECIAL MEETING

COUNTY BOARD OF LEGISLATORS

JANUARY 6, 2003 (6:45 P.M.)

The County Board of Legislators met in Special Session.

The Honorable Lois Bronz in the Chair.

The Chair opened the meeting with the salute to our flag and an invocation.

The roll call resulted as follows:

Legislators:  Young, Oros, Abinanti, Alvarado, Kaplowitz, LaMotte, Latimer, Maisano, Mosiello, Pinto, Rogowsky, Ryan, Spreckman, Stewart-Cousins, Swanson, Wishnie, Chair – 17.

Absent:  None.

SPECIAL ORDER:  CHAIR OF THE BOARD:  2003 Contingency Budget:  RES 1-2003:  Resolution authorizing a contingency plan to be implemented by Westchester County should the New York State Legislature fail to pass sales tax legislation consistent with Westchester County’s corresponding Home Rule request.

Mr. Wishnie presented the following resolution and moved its adoption, which was declared adopted by the following vote:

AYE:  Legislators:  Young, Alvarado, Kaplowitz, Latimer, Pinto, Ryan, Stewart-Cousins, Wishnie, Chair – 9.

NAY:  Legislators:  Maisano, Abinanti, LaMotte, Mosiello, Oros, Rogowsky, Spreckman, Swanson – 8.

On MOTION of Legislator Young,

the Board adjourned.
