ACT 162-2000:  COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS:  Prisoner Transport IMA:    Authorizing the County to enter into an IMA with the City of New Rochelle for prisoner transportation to the Westchester County Jail.

 

          Mr. Wishnie presented the following report and act and moved that the report be received, filed and approved and the act adopted, which motion was declared carried by the following vote:

RESOLUTION 149-2000:  COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS:  FTA Grants:  Authorizing the County Executive or his designee to execute and file an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration and accept up to $11,258,721 in Federal funds for aid in the financing of Capital Projects.

 

          Mr. Wishnie presented the following resolution and moved its adoption, which motion was declared adopted.

 

 

 

 

LOCAL LAW INTRO 16-2000:  COMMITTEE ON LEGISLATION:  Solid Waste Law Amendments:  LOCAL LAW INTRO 16-2000:  amending Section 1 and Section 2 of Local Law 10-1999, which codified the Westchester County Solid Waste & Recyclables Collection Licensing Law, to extend the deadlines for license application submission during the implementation phase of the law until September 30, 2000, and to allow new businesses to obtain licenses under the former Chapter 826 of the Laws of Westchester County until December 31, 2000, in order to increase competition in the Westchester County hauling industry.

 

 

          Mr. Wishnie presented the following Local Law and moved its adoption, which motion was declared carried by the following vote:

ACT 163-2000:  COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS AND COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION:  2000/2001 Westchester Community College Budget:  Adopting the 2000/2001 Westchester County Community College Budget and making appropriations for the operation of the Westchester Community College.
