NEW!! SMART VOTER WEBSITE
for info about candidates, your polling place, and a personalized ballot!
Go to www.SmartVoter.org, for all your information on elections!
As you already may know, the Smart Voter website was developed by the LWV of California and has been used to inform voters in that state for over 10 years. The candidates in elections directly enter information about themselves. Smartvoter has unlimited capacity for candidate information.
Candidates can access the site via password to post information about their candidacies, including pictures and biographies, endorsements, campaign events, and issue papers. Candidates can link to other websites and are able to make changes and additions until 24 hours before the election. The site is completely free for candidates and voters to use.
You can view this information at:
www.smartvoter.org/ny/
Just enter your address in the "Find My Ballot" box and click on "find Ballot and Polling Place". The information for it will come up on the next screen. Please note that all candidates are encouraged to put information about themselves on SmartVoter, at no cost. Your Local and County Leagues work together to bring you this information on www.SmartVoter.org, a League of Women Voters Education Fund website. |
