Coming 2009 Calendar Events:
Friday, February 6 LWV Issues Breakfast. This week's topic is domestic violence with a special emphasis on the growing involvement of young (teenage) women. We'll have special guests from My Sisters' Place, a private non-profit agency, that's been working hard on this issue for 30 years.

The morning Issues Breakfasts are held on the first Friday of every month. It is hosted by Alice Bloom at Cafe Mozart on Mamaroneck Avenue from 8:45 to 10:15 am. Alice ably directs a discussion on local issues of importance, usually with guest speakers. There is a $7 fee for breakfast payable at the table. All are welcome. No RSVP necessary. Put a sign on your dashboard saying "LWV breakfast, Cafe Mozart" for free parking. Don't miss the coming LWV Issues Breakfasts in 2009.

Tuesday, February 10 -- Mamaroneck School District Bond Vote ; polls open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm; vote at your neighborhood elementary school.

Friday, March 13 -- Annual breakfast with County Executive Andrew Spano, at 9:30 am, White Plains Public Library auditorium, 2nd floor. Come to discuss important issues facing Westchester County. Sponsored byLWV of Westchester County.

Wednesday, March 18 -- Village of Larchmont Election Day; polls open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm; voting will take place at the Larchmont Firehouse, 120 Larchmont Ave.

Tuesday, March 24 -- National Popular Vote Information Session, at 10:00 am, White Plains Library, hosted by Westchester County LWV.

Friday, March 27 - Join us for our Spring '09 Luncheon at the beautiful Davenport Club in New Rochelle at noon. We are very proud to have as our speaker NY State First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson. More information will be coming soon in your email.

Friday, December 5 from 8:45 - 10:15 am, LWV Issues Breakfast at Cafe Mozart. William Mooney, President of the Westchester County Association, spoke about Westchester Government and the need for reform.
